The necklace is made of hypoallergenic and nickel free 925 aged silver and depicts in detail the obelisk which, together with the pyramids, is one of the most famous monumental expressions of ancient Egypt. The term Obelisk derives from the tejen hieroglyph which, in the sacred language of the ancient Egyptians, was synonymous with protection and defense. As can be seen from the historiographic studies on the subject, in ancient Egypt the obelisks were erected by the will of the Pharaoh with the intent to invoke the protection of the Sun God, Ra. Usually the obelisks were placed at the entrance of the temples, as they constituted not only the symbol to celebrate the divinity, but they were also accommodation for the god himself, who was believed to be present inside.
The obelisk also represented a symbol of power, as it remembered the existence of a link between man and God.
